Delete your Dentista account
Dentista accounts belong to clinic staff — the dentists,
hygienists and administrators who sign in with Google to use the app.
Patients never sign in and have no account. If you are a patient asking
about your own dental records, contact your clinic: it is the Personal
Information Controller for them, and the
privacy policy explains your rights.
How to delete it
- iPhone, iPad or Mac: tap your photo at the top of
any screen, then Settings, and
Delete Account… at the bottom of the list. (In versions
before 27 September 2026 it is under Account.)
- Android: the same — tap your photo, then
Settings, and Delete Account… at the
bottom.
- In a web browser: go to
dentista.clinicaide.app/#/delete-account
and sign in with the Google account you use for Dentista.
- If you never joined a clinic — you signed in and
were still waiting to be approved — the waiting screen has a
Delete Account link of its own.
Each shows you what will happen and asks you to confirm. Nothing is
deleted until you do.
What is deleted
- Your Google sign-in to Dentista, so the account can no longer be used
on any device
- Your email address and profile photo
- Any request you had made to join a clinic
It happens straight away. It cannot be undone, but you can work at a
clinic again later: an administrator there can invite you, and you start
with a new account.
What the clinic keeps, and why
- Your name on the records you made — the treatments
you performed, the payments you recorded, the prescriptions and
certificates you issued. These are the clinic's patient records, not your
personal data to take with you. The clinic is required to keep them, and
to be able to say who did each thing, for at least ten years from the last
entry, as the privacy policy sets out.
- The audit trail — the record of who opened or changed
a patient's file. It is a data-protection safeguard, and it is never
edited or deleted by anyone; an entry is added saying that you deleted
your account.
Patients' records are not affected in any way.
If you are the clinic's only administrator
The app will ask you to make someone else an administrator first. A
clinic with no administrator would have nobody who could let staff in, and
there is deliberately nobody outside the clinic who can. Once another
administrator is in place you can delete your account in the same way.
If you can't sign in any more
If you have lost access to the Google account you used, email
hello.dentista@clinicaide.app, saying which clinic you
worked at and which address you signed in with. After confirming it is your
account with that clinic's administrator, we will delete it in exactly the
way described above, and tell you when it is done.
